Hello there,
I am looking for some clarity... lol Hopefully someone might have some info xoxo
In the 90's I had a Kundalini/Holy Spirit Awakening.
I experienced spiritual stresses during my foray into occultism and had a Holy Spirit Awakening. This resulted in emerging in the experience of the christian/kabbalistic mysteries for many years.
I would say a few months later, after my Holy Spirit awakening, I experienced a kundalini awakening and a bottom up kA in eastern tradition.
I hear folks speak about a top-down kA and am wondering how is this different from a HSA? For the HSA was a top-down event.
Some folks say kundalini and Holy Spirit are the same energies but in my experience they are distinctly different.
So to summarize xoxo
What is a top-down kA? What are the archetypal energies associated with a top-down?
Big Love,
xoxo Blue Star
"Perhaps the catalyst for both the Holy Spirit Awakening and the top down kA is a prana energy and not the Shakti Kundalini energy."
This resonates. ... another aspect ... feels like the "top-down of Holy Spirit and the bottom-up of Kundalini are related to each other but different aspect of the "Pranic Awakening". Both are part of an integrated process and unite the Eastern and Western Traditions. This initiation is drawn from our pool of many lifetimes of spiritual process ... even if there is no framework in this one

Hey Blue Star,
I study Kabbalah and it hs helped me enormously during this process. MY KA started in my feet and moved up to my heart at this point. I am still going through the process.
Thank you for the post.

Holy Spirit/Kundalini Awakening Lightning Path
See if this resonates xoxo
… In Genesis, Adam and Eve resided in a state of enlightened Grace (Holy Spirit) where they intimately knew God. The icon of The Tree of Life has a direct path to enlightenment (Middle Pillar). Through this awakening one does not experience the initiations and calibrations of the negative and positive polarities of the sephirot (levels of consciousness) on the Tree of Life.
On the Middle Path one does not gather the siddhis that the transmutation of these centers of consciousness brings through the Tree of Knowledge. Perhaps this is a state of Holy Spirit Awakening?
The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil is the Kundalini Awakening on the Tree of Life. It is the traversing or the pathworking of the Tree of Life through the Path of the Lightning Strike. The phrase "Good and Evil" represent the polarities, positive and negative of each level of consciousness..
When I experienced my kA I emerged onto the path of the Tree as an intuitive kabbalist. My being was mystically traversing the Path of the Lightning Strike. It was like a holographic video game and I would intuit my consciousness when I came to the positive and negative polarities of each sephirah. It was a relief to receive my "power pack" (initiation) after what could be a very harsh experience or test. I was able to intuit the level of consciousness I was working in by the correspondence of the archetypes (eastern and western) or symbols that came to my perception.

The Forbidden Fruit
"And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die".
To die is to be reborn.
"Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. and the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons."

"… The symbolic use of the lightning flash on the Tree of Life has also been called the flaming sword and linked to the flaming sword mentioned in Genesis 3:24; “After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.... ”

It is interesting to me that the Christian Church considers the kundalini awakening demonic. What is the nature and meaning of this?
I feel this kind of awakening, Holy Spirit, represent a masculine aspect of the Divine, though isn't Holy Spirit considered feminine?
Shakti is feminine.
I feel the nature of this is one can experience this awakening from both aspects ...the macrocausum of cosmic energies (masculine) uniting with our microcausam of cosmic energies (feminine).
In energy healing ... one source of energy attracts the other or flow of energy
Thoughts?

This is a great question. In my opinion, what we are all experiencing is something new—an integration of multiple spiritual systems. As we live in an increasingly energetic and diverse world, spiritual practices have been cross-pollinating. What you are experiencing is a blending of these systems. If you sense a particular identity within one or more of these energies, there may be something significant there.
I like what you write about the differences in the awakenings. I am feeling an aspect of this ... to a degree is the capacity of the person's energetic perception... to be able to discern on an energetic level the nature of the energies.
I feel they are distinctly different. Perhaps one individual (micro) and one macrocosmic?
Thanks for raising this Blue Star, a very interesting topic. .
My experience like Joe's was bottom up, but I am aware that in the Western Hermetic system as described by Israel Regardie in the "Middle Pillar" that the process is top down. Interestingly Regardie sees the system as being safer than the bottom up awakening. To my thinking the Western system seems to be a prana download.
I feel that a bottom up KA has a very much female quality. Did the top down awakening for you Blue Star have a male quality?
I have been curious about these questions myself the past few years and searched for some answers, but found no satisfying explanations. My own thoughts are that the classic, bottom up Kundalini Awakening is unique and results in a change of consciousness that neither the top down kA nor the Holy Spirit Awakening achieves. Perhaps the catalyst for both the Holy Spirit Awakening and the top down kA is a prana energy and not the Shakti Kundalini energy. I have seen some discussions that describe kundalini as a distinct manifestation of prana energy. My Kundalini Awakening was the classic bottom up. I have no experience of any other type.
