For what it’s worth, I’ve found that earthing can be achieved (at least it seems so for me) anywhere you can see the ground by letting part of you pass through the bottom of your feet (but then I am Taurean). I don’t know if particular mats or shoes help, I typically wear thick rubber soled walking boots but that’s because I’m out walking rather than because I believe they make a difference for me.
My sense of earthing is that this is best practiced near flowing water, so woodlands with streams provide me with a truly wonderful place for this practice, allowing connection with land, water and air as well as living organisms.
