Nigel Robinson - Living an everyday life with awakening, Psychotherapy and healing - Podcast No.16

In his 50’s, married with a family, living in London, working in a corporate commercial career, Nigel was living a very ordinary life when he experienced an unplanned and spontaneous Kundalini Awakening in September 2022. Prior to this Nigel considered himself a very ego-centric, materialistic person who loved sport, beer and adrenaline-based activities such as riding fast motorbikes and snowboarding. Thrust into a powerful spiritual awakening, for which he had very little context or understanding, Nigel talks about his journey of making sense of this life-changing experience and how he’s been integrating it into his “normal life”. Nigel is currently training to be a transpersonal psychotherapist and he also talks about the relationship between modern psychology and spirituality, and how they can be used together to support spiritual awakening. He is an active member of the Kundalini Collective. The Kundalini Collective is a free peer to peer website dedicated to supporting people through the spiritual awakening process with information, resources and group support. www.kundalinicollective.org To donate please go to the top left hand side of the website and click 'Donate'. 0:05 Introduction 1:01 Nigel's Story 27:40 Bottom up and top down awakenings 40:00 Is something new happening? 44:33 Relations with family and friends 49:50 Waking up in life 54:16 Transpersonal psychology, therapy and kundalini 1:08 Transgenerational and past life trauma/healing 1:11:50 Lessons to learn; inner work 1:19:01 Summary of the journey so far 1:23:50 Thank you, and the importance of embracing life, including the pain 1:26:32 Finish
